The annual conference of the Association of German Industrial Bakers will be held in Munich, from September 11 to 12, 2025. A diverse program is planned, focusing on current and future industry challenges, including sustainability topics and artificial intelligence. A new Executive Committee is also up for election at the GA.
The European Sustainable Wheat Initiative is among the highlights, launched early this summer. German industrial bakeries are also involved in this new platform, which aims to create a more sustainable value chain in the grain sector. Nele van Malderen from the Belgian La Lorraine Bakery Group will present the initiative and promote further support.
The organization’s leadership elections are also part of the event’s agenda. Prof. Dr. Ulrike Detmers, long-standing president, and Hans-Jochen Holthausen, long-standing vice president, will not be standing for re-election.
