Ferrero celebrated the start-up of a new production line dedicated to Nutella cookies for European markets. The company welcomed Xavier Bertrand, President of the Région Hauts-de-France, to the inauguration held at the plant in Nieppe (Hauts-de-France), owned by Biscuits Delacre, a Ferrero-affiliated company. Approximately EUR 30 million is invested in the facility.

“For a site with more than 60 years of biscuits production behind it, this investment opens an important new chapter – building on our heritage while strengthening the site for the future,” the company shared.

This site produces biscuits for Biscuits Declare and Fine Biscuits Company (FBC) Group, and is the latest in a series of investments aiming at modernizing and expanding the company’s industrial sites in France.

Created in 2020, the Fine Biscuits Company Group is composed of three complementary companies: Kelsen Group, Biscuits Delacre and The Fine Lab.

The Nieppe project is part of a larger investment of EUR 60 million, which was announced three months ago. It also includes EUR 15 million invested in industrial and environmental upgrades at the Villers-Écalles (Normandy) site and EUR 15 million to develop a new 3kg Nutella packaging line for professional channels.
