The GoodMills Group opened its newly expanded mill in Kutno, Poland, strengthening its position as a leading miller in Europe.

The expanded Kutno facility now boasts a daily milling capacity of 880 tons, with annual output rising to 280,000 tons. To ensure operational consistency, the new production line mirrors the existing one. Supporting infrastructure was also significantly upgraded: flour silo capacity increased from 960 to 4,060 tons, and loading efficiency quadrupled from 25 t/h to 100 t/h, streamlining logistics and distribution.

The expansion represents a EUR 25 million investment, doubling the mill’s annual production capacity from 140,000 to 280,000 tons. This is the second-largest facility in the Group and one of the largest flour mills in Poland.

The new wheat mill – equipped with innovative technological solutions – stands out for its innovative approach to ecology and energy efficiency, the company highlights. A heat recovery system repurposes energy from compressors to warm the newly built laboratory, and an on-site rainwater storage facility supports sustainable water management.

The official opening event took place on June 17, 2025, with international guests, industry stakeholders, and employees in attendance. Key speakers included Leonhard Gollegger (CEO GoodMills Group), Piotr Piąstka (CEO GoodMills Polska,) Kurt Miesenböck (CFO LLI) and Michael Höllerer (CEO Raiffeisen-Holding NÖ-Wien).

The expansion in Kutno is part of GoodMills’ broader growth strategy in Poland, the company reveals: the construction of a fifth mill – this time in eastern Poland – is already in the planning stages. Together, these projects will help the company reach its target capacity of 1 million tons in the country.

“LLI and the GoodMills Group are cornerstone investments within our portfolio,” said Michael Höllerer. “We see tremendous potential in this sector, and Poland – one of the EU’s most dynamic and economically resilient markets – is the ideal environment for sustainable growth.”

The GoodMills Group is Europe’s largest milling company, operating 24 mills in seven countries and processing 2.8 million tons of grain in the 2023/24 fiscal year. GoodMills serves both industrial customers and end consumers. In the 2023/24 fiscal year, the company generated revenues of EUR 1.2 billion, with approximately 1,550 employees.
