As part of Grupo Bimbo’s 80th anniversary celebrations, the world’s biggest bakery inaugurated the opening of the Bimbo Interactive Museum (MiBIMBO by its name in Spanish). The new museum offers a journey through Grupo Bimbo’s legacy since 1945, showcasing how the Mexican company has combined tradition, innovation, and values, from its origins as a local bakery to becoming the world’s largest baking company with a presence in 39 countries.

Across its 11 interactive zones, visitors will explore the principles of baking tradition, the processes behind iconic products, the company’s close ties to agriculture, its application of science and technology through continuous innovation, its community engagement via the Buen Vecino program, and its adoption of sustainable practices such as electromobility.

Located at Isabel La Católica #51 in Mexico City’s Historic Center, MiBIMBO will open to the public on January 20, 2026. With a capacity for up to 500 visitors at a time, the museum expects to attract more than 220,000 visitors in its first year.

Karina Fogel, Director of MiBIMBO, noted: “This museum will support various causes, including the conservation of the Mexican black bear, an endangered species. Through the Huellas program, MiBIMBO will allocate part of ticket revenue to initiatives ranging from scientific monitoring and protection of biological corridors to rescuing at-risk specimens, in collaboration with institutions such as Museo del Desierto, Chipinque Reserve, and SEMARNAT.”

Daniel Servitje, Executive Chairman of Grupo Bimbo, stated: “Today, December 2, more than 153,000 Grupo Bimbo associates celebrate with gratitude and pride the first eighty years of our company – 80 years growing together. We do so by inaugurating the Bimbo Interactive Museum, a space where we honor the past, celebrate the present, and envision the future of all those who have contributed a ‘grain’ of flour, as we like to say.”

Alicia Bárcena highlighted: “I want to celebrate Grupo Bimbo’s 80 years and recognize its strong commitment to sustainability, especially the results achieved. For example, regenerative agriculture, renewable energy with electric mobility, zero food and water waste, and 94% of packaging being recyclable. This is great news.”

Vidal Llerenas Morales added: “Companies like Bimbo have sustained the Mexican economy. They’ve announced this investment and more to come in Mexico. The goal is to keep working closely with Bimbo to create more jobs, be more sustainable, and deliver better products for people.”
