f2m coperion AGV Integration - IBIE25

Coperion prepares a suite of live demonstrations for interpack, including extrusion and feeding, baked goods end processes, bakery and ingredient automation, as well as depositing and confectionery. The company will also present live demonstrations of the Connect Advisor, its digital remote support platform streamlining maintenance, troubleshooting and operations for frontline manufacturing workers.

Under the theme ‘Powering Food & Nutrition’, Coperion will showcase solutions that help confectionery and bakery manufacturers modernize existing lines, improving quality and consistency while reducing labor dependency. Coperion and its associated brands, Baker Perkins, Bakon, DIOSNA, K-Tron, Kemutech, Mucon, Peerless, Shaffer, Shick Esteve, Unifiller and VMI, will showcase a comprehensive portfolio of processing solutions.

The Coperion stand will feature:

  • Aftermarket & Connect Advisor experiential station with live demos of Connect Advisor at its Aftermarket reception counter.
  • Baker Perkins SBX45 extruder – a versatile, high-output solution for producing a wide range of extruded foods and ingredients, including breakfast cereals, snacks and texturised vegetable protein. This will be on display along with Gabler and Coperion K-Tron Extruder product lines.
  • DIOSNA Wendel mixer – a high-capacity spiral dough mixer for snacks and extruded foods designed for medium to large bakery production, handling batch sizes from 240–600 kg with gentle, efficient kneading across all dough types.
  • Peerless Peters sandwiching machines – a dedicated area of the booth features video demos of this equipment that produces up to 4,800 filled cookie and biscuit sandwiches per minute, supporting standard, mini and long-form products in all shapes from 25 mm to 100 mm.
  • Unifiller systems mini filling line with 1.5 conveyor, buffer table and Enco Pro 1000i depositor features a patented SV product valve with large openings for safe depositing of chunks up to ¾ in., precision height adjustment and angled surface covers to eliminate pooling. This system can handle additional food applications.
  • VMI bridge planetary mixer Ultimix 200L a high-performance planetary mixer engineered for exceptional versatility across bakery, pastry, confectionery, snacks, extruded foods and cosmetic applications.
  • Ingredient handling and automation systems a dedicated area of the booth will feature Kemutec, Coperion, K-Tron and Shick Esteve systems, with supporting graphics, video and kiosk.

Against a backdrop of fluctuating raw material costs, staff shortages and growing uncertainties regarding trade and tariffs, Chris Isom, General Manager Food, Coperion Food, Health & Nutrition, emphasizes the urgency of ensuring throughput and quality with fewer staff: “This requires stricter process control, faster changeovers, and more hygienic and consistent operations. Those companies that modernize intelligently will be successful, by utilizing automation and integrated system improvements to increase product consistency, improve flexibility and reduce total cost of ownership.”

Matt Craig, President, Coperion Food, Health & Nutrition, emphasizes that strategic investment is key: “Make investment decisions in line with the areas in which the industry is actually investing: modernization and upgrades rather than solely the construction of entirely new production sites. Bakeries are prioritizing packaging, software/IT/AI, robotics and automation, as well as key process steps such as mixing and material handling – because these investments deliver measurable improvements in quality, efficiency and uptime.”
