On July 1, Katharina Keil took over the operational management of Kamps from Friederike Stöver, CEO and Chairwoman of the Management Board. Keil has been responsible for sales, marketing, store construction, and franchising as Chief Operating Officer (COO) since March. Stöver will remain with the company as a strategic advisor.
After almost 50 years in the business, including 30 in management positions at bakery companies, she is stepping down from operational management at the age of 65.
Katharina Keil is a long-standing member of the management team and, together with Friederike Stöver, has played a key role in the realignment and consolidation of Kamps GmbH over the past three years.
The first Kamps bakery opened in Dusseldorf in 1982. With around 350 stores, the bakery is among Germany’s most famous baking businesses. It has been a part of the French Groupe Le Duff since 2015.
