Koenig introduces a new approach to showcasing its solutions to its visitors this year, Norbert Hübler, Global Sales Director, Koenig Group, anticipates in an interview.

Baking+Biscuit International: What is the theme/concept of your stand at iba 2025? What solutions will you highlight?

Norbert Hübler: At iba 2025, we are introducing an entirely new approach to engaging with our visitors. For the first time, we will showcase the full portfolio of the Koenig Group in a unified presentation. This exciting collaboration brings together Koenig, Fortuna, and Vulganus under one roof, highlighting the collective expertise and innovation of our brands.

Beyond showcasing our equipment, we are placing great emphasis on connecting visitors with the people behind the Koenig Group. Dedicated areas will feature specialists from various fields, including sales and solutions, research and development, and after-sales service, ensuring a comprehensive and personal experience for all attendees.

BBI: If new solutions are being launched at the trade show, please share a few details about them.

Hübler: We will showcase new developments in the field of dividing and rounding:

Koenig’s Industrie Rex AW EC dough divider and rounder will be exhibited for the first time at a trade show. It is the largest dough divider and rounder in Koenig’s history so far and it is in our innovative ‘Easy Clean’ design for optimized cleaning and maintenance.

Additionally, Fortuna’s newly launched Novus dough divider and rounder will be presented. It combines gentle dough handling with high capacities.

The iba 2025 exhibition promises even more groundbreaking advancements in digitalization and robotics, designed to deliver significant advantages to customers and streamline their daily operations.

BBI: Are there any special events at the stand that visitors should schedule to attend?

Hübler: We will host live Q&A sessions with representatives from our specialized departments, offering direct insights and expertise. Additionally, attendees will embark on guided journeys into bakeries around the globe, showcasing our equipment in action.

BBI: What are your main priorities in the baking market in 2025? What trends are you focusing on?

Hübler: There is a general trend in our industry for having one partner and a one-stop solution for supplying as many processes as possible.

We are bundling our resources within the Koenig Group to provide solutions with a competitive price/performance ratio. Koenig will increasingly position itself as a one-stop solution provider in order to accompany traditional craftsmanship into a successful future with innovative technology.

We perceive a shortage of skilled workers, which increases the demand for more automated processes. Using robotic solutions, such as scoring or automatic tray handling enables customers to automatize their production while raising the product quality at a consistently high level.
