Koenig announced it established a new partnership with Abendschoen, to develop together “next-level automation” solutions for commercial and industrial bakeries. Abendschoen is an established name in the field of bakery automation, including intelligent automation and robotics. The partnership will be reflected at this year’s Koenig iba stand, where Abendschoen and Koenig will introduce their joint solutions in the areas of scoring, tray handling and lye application.

The recently-established cooperation is already showing promising results: Koenig reports that the first customer projects are udnerway and confirm the potential of the companies saw in their collaboration.

“This partnership offers future-proof solutions to automate our customers’ processes even better,” says Hannes Stelzer, CEO of the Koenig Group.

Managing Director Christian Abendschön also comments on the new partnership: “In Koenig, we have found a partner who shares our vision of automated bakery processes. This cooperation will bring great added value to the industry.”

Abendschön Maschinenbau GmbH is a family business based in Ötigheim, supplying bakeries worldwide. In addition to robotics, the technologies they develop include intelligent 3D image processing, ultrasound, sensors, gripping technology and complex software.
