Following the abrupt departure of Salman Amin from the CEO role, the London-headquartered company announced several management changes. David Murray will transition to the newly created position of Global Chief Commercial Officer, after five years at the helm of pladis UK and Ireland.
Amin’s departure was announced on February 25, effective immediately, citing personal reasons. Sridhar Ramamurthy, Chief Financial Officer and Tim Brett, Managing Director Europe and Developing Markets, are temporary leading pladis.
Mete Buyurgan will become the new Managing Director of pladis across Britain and Ireland, from April 6. Buyurgan joins the Anglo-Irish division of the company from its Turkish, Eastern Europe and Central Asian operations, which he has run since 2016.

Pladis was founded in 2016 and now has a team of 16,000 people. In 27 bakeries and factories in 11 countries, it manufactures products for its brands, which include McVitie’s, Ülker and Flipz. They are sold in more than 110 countries. pladis group revenue topped GBP 2.7 billion in FY 2023.
