After 27 years in the heart of Disney Village®, McDonald’s opened the doors to a new, one-of-a-kind concept restaurant, which was designed to welcome families from all over the world in a unique building. The Disneyland Paris McDonald’s restaurant aims to offer an immersive, seamless and memorable experience, the QSR explains.
McDonald’s France worked on the design and construction of the new restaurant for over five years, with an investment of over EUR 20 million.
This restaurant balances the Disney Village® atmosphere with McDonald’s “most advanced solutions in terms of service, products, and sustainable construction,” the company announced.
The three-floor building has 600 seats, including 200 on outdoor terraces. A panoramic elevator was designed to add to a ‘spectacular experience’, McDonald’s notes. There are 23 self-service kiosks on site, and an ‘unprecedented service capacity, thanks to a dual kitchen and five dumbwaiters distributed across the different floors’, according to an announcement. A staff of 220 employees, speaking 16 languages, works here. Out of them, 60 people were recently hired, adding to the existing team of 160 employees. The company intends to hire additional people for peak seasons.
A spacious and bright reception area is designed to streamline the ordering process, with personalized service, including an elegant McCafé. The brand’s trademark services are all available:
- table ordering via QR code,
- table service via geolocation,
- made-to-order for all recipes.
Younger guests can enjoy a three-story indoor play area, matching the Disney Village® theme.
The result of close collaboration with the Disneyland® Paris teams, the restaurant’s design blends architectural concepts developed by McDonald’s in France with decorative elements inspired by Disney’s beloved stories, creating a truly unique space.

“The opening of a McDonald’s restaurant is always a significant moment for our employees, customers, and partners.” But today, we are reaching a new milestone with this restaurant, which showcases all our expertise in France. Our 220 employees are eager to welcome families and visitors from around the world and offer them unforgettable memories in this world of pure enjoyment. I would like to thank the Disney Village® teams for this exciting collaboration on a truly unique project,” says Jo Sempels, President and CEO of McDonald’s France.
“Since 1999, Disneyland Paris and McDonald’s have built a relationship grounded in trust and a shared vision of the guest experience. The opening of this new restaurant fully supports the transformation of Disney Village through a landmark project that combines innovative architecture, high-quality hospitality, and seamless integration into the site’s universe. We are proud to continue this journey alongside an iconic, multigenerational brand that is highly valued by our guests, and to sustainably enrich the experience offered to families by making Disney Village an ever more vibrant, welcoming, and inspiring place,” adds Boris Solbach, Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Disneyland Paris.
The restaurant boosts employment and supports French agriculture: 75% of its raw materials come from French producers across the five main sectors (beef, chicken, wheat, potatoes, and lettuce).
Designed to address current environmental challenges, the restaurant incorporates several energy sources, materials, and landscaping features:
- ‘Positive Energy & Carbon Reduction’ building
- Targeted Certification: BREEAM New Construction – Excellent Level,
- Compliance with RE2020 regulations,
- 250 m² of solar panels,
- 350 m² of green space (roof + planters),
- A 120 m² living wall promoting biodiversity and pollination.
