Norwegian food group Orkla Foods signed an agreement to acquire all shares in the Danish bakery manufacturer TC Brød, through its subsidiary Orkla Denmark. The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of Q2 2027. With this acquisition, Orkla aims to strengthen its bakery business in this market.

TC Brød will continue to operate as an independent company with its current management and daily operations, while working closely with Orkla Denmark and Easyfood on development and commercial opportunities.

TC Brød is a family-run company with production facilities in Krogager that specializes in puff pastry products and seasonal bake-off products. In 2025, the company, with approximately 30 employees, generated revenue of approximately DKK 116 million. The bakery manufacturer supplies its products to retailers and the foodservice industry in Denmark. TC Brød will continue to operate as an independent company under its current management and will work closely with Orkla Denmark and Easyfood.

Because there is limited overlap between Easyfood and TC Brød, the combination expands the overall offering rather than duplicating existing products. It also provides immediate access to production capacity that can support future growth and enable Orkla Foods to offer a broader and more adaptable range of bakery products.
