Sofitel unveiled a limited-edition collection of its signature croissants, available in seven variations worldwide. The Mother’s Day collection is inspired by the world’s flowers.
The collection launched globally by Sofitel is called La Haute Croissanterie Blossoms. It is available for only a four-month period starting in May. Drawing inspiration from the timeless floral artistry of French luxury hospitality, the collection marks Sofitel’s first limited-release collection, turning croissants into a gastronomic experience. The collection includes creations such as:
- Sofitel Le Scribe Paris Opera (The Verbena Breeze),
- Sofitel Marrakech Palais Imperial (The Zesty Orange Blossom),
- Sofitel Ambassador Seoul (The Seoul Bom Blush),
- Sofitel Dubai The Palm (The Floral Saffron),
- Sofitel Mexico City Reforma (The Dalia Rouge),
- Sofitel Cotonou Marina Hotel and Spa (The Wild Hibiscus).
It also marks the beginning of a series of limited-edition La Haute Croissanterie collections by Sofitel across the globe to be released on a regular basis, with each capturing a unique and different theme.
In this collection, Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour launches an exclusive Citrus Fleur croissant, inspired by the lemon myrtle. It was created by its Executive Chef, Ian Burch, and features the floral notes of lavender with a burst of lemon myrtle and will be available from May 5 to 11 at the Espirit Noir Lobby Bar.
“I’m proud to bring the Citrus Fleur to Sydney for guests to gift to one another this Mother’s Day and enjoy from 5 to 11 May. Creating the Citrus Fleur was about capturing my memories of the lavender farm my mother lives near in the UK and was inspired by a visit to Bridestowe Lavender Farm in Tasmania. My mother has always cherished the calming scent of lavender and I wanted to pair it with a burst of Lemon Myrtle, to bring a fresh, bright flavor profile that is both refined and refreshing. It’s a loving tribute to my mother that has resulted in a croissant that feels like a getaway in every bite,” says Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour’s Executive Chef, Ian Burch.
La Haute Croissanterie: Where croissants become Haute Couture
Inspired by the excellence and beauty of Haute Couture, Sofitel launched the La Haute Croissanterie concept in January 2024. “By blending traditional French techniques with bold and local flavors, every creation reflects the brand’s devotion to refined elegance, while celebrating the unique traditions of each region: an approach that embodies Sofitel’s core values, which highlight local heritage and culture, while infusing each destination with its signature French Zest,” the hotel details.
