Team South Korea won gold at the 2026 edition of the Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie, held in Paris during SIRHA Bake & Snack exhibition (January 18-21). Taiwan won silver and bronze went to Team France.
South Korea was represented by Seokyong Hwang (bread), Myung Gi Kim (viennoiserie), and Yonghwan Choi (artistic piece).
Chi Wei Kao (bread), Shi Bin Chang(viennoiserie), and Win Rou Peng (artistic piece) competed for the Taiwanese team. The French team members were Yann Raimondo (bread), Corentin Molina (viennoiserie), and Yannis Thouy (artistic piece).

This year, the theme of the competition was ‘The great inventions of your country’. Ten finalist countries baked for the title, from: Europe (France, Denmark), Africa (Morocco, Senegal), the Americas (USA, Canada, Brazil), and the Asia-Pacific (Taiwan, South Korea, Japan).
