f2m suedback bakers trend forum

This year, the Bakers’ Trend Forum will bring focus on digitalization and artificial intelligence, product development and training. From October 24 to 27, 2026, visitors will be able to attend a diverse agenda at Stand 8C71 in Hall 8, on all four days of the trade fair, including practical demonstrations, expert talks and creative content for those involved in production and sales.

One of the key themes this year is digitalization. Simon Schwarz from Delicious Data will be sharing his thoughts on dealing with point-of-sale data and the use of artificial intelligence. His demonstration will show how data can be used for operational decisions and the opportunities provided by digital tools for planning, sales and stock and merchandise management. Sven Seubert will talk about future-oriented business and product development, covering both strategic business alignment and product portfolio optimization.

The Wild Bakers will take to the stage with fresh concepts and creative craftsmanship, while other forum contributions will address concepts such as sales psychology, shopfitting, brand development, innovative baking techniques and apprentice retention. The programme is aimed at visitors looking to expand their product portfolio, improve the customer experience in their shops, sharpen brand profiles or secure the long-term loyalty of young talent for the bakery trade.

The product ideas themselves will also be taking centre stage. The Idea Bakery from the Akademie Deutsches Bäckerhandwerk Südwest will also be sharing practical insights, with visitors given the chance to explore the latest craft-based approaches and engage with the experts to discuss their own questions and concerns. New recipes, techniques and concepts, and how they are combined will be demonstrated here.

“The Bakers’ Trend Forum demonstrates how focused the bakery trade is on future success. Covering everything from digital tools and new product ideas to vocational training and business development, it is exactly this variety that makes the forum so valuable. It is delivering concrete solutions suitable for immediate implementation while, at the same time, highlighting the importance of exchange and further development for the entire industry. Anyone looking to shape the future of the bakery trade will find a wealth of inspiration and expertise right here,” says Stefan Körber, Chief Executive Officer of the Akademie Deutsches Bäckerhandwerk Südwest.

The Bakers’ Trend Forum will also include a stand. The German Bread Institute (Das Deutsche Brotinstitut) will be represented here, ready to answer questions about baking technology and the latest developments.
