Almondy continues to expand in both the Nordic and global markets. The Swedish company announced an investment in increasing its production capacity, which also includes the expansion of the company’s bakery in Torslanda.
A new production line is a part of this investment, which is planned to become operational in early 2027. In addition, the management team receives a new role – Commercial Director. Björn Norén will take up this position, with the task of further strengthening Almondy’s stand within frozen cakes and desserts.
“Almondy is in an expansive and exciting phase and our goal is to continue that journey with full force. Establishing a commercial director role is an important step in our continued strategy. With Björn’s solid experience in developing customer partnerships and building brands, we have a key person who will help take Almondy to the next level,” says Glenn Cramér, CEO of Almondy.
Almondy bakes and sells frozen and chilled cakes, sponge cakes and desserts. More than 120 employees work in the Torslanda bakery. Around 80,000 cakes are baked here daily, which are sold in over 60 countries. Almondy is best known for the Daim Cake, but bakes everything from sponge cakes to almond cakes.
