Pladis announced a ‘landmark investment’ worth GBP 68 million in expanding its operations in Liverpool, Stockport and Carlisle while also cutting 876 tonnes of carbon emissions per year. At these facilities, the company produces specialties for its brands, including McVitie’s, Jacob’s and Carr’s.
The new product in the Chocolate Digestive range marks the return of the Chocolate Digestives in pladis’ portfolio for the first time since 2005, and marks the 100th anniversary of the McVitie’s Chocolate Digestive. The new variety is a permanent addition to the range.
Pladis is bringing BN biscuit brand BN back under the McVitie’s brand this week, in Asda stores, and in supermarkets throughout the UK from February. The smiley-face biscuits will be available after a four-year absence, in mini and full-size options.
