The Belgian family-owned food group has a strong presence in the market segments of margarines and plant-based oils and fats in Europe. It now reached an agreement with Bunge to acquire its European Margarines & Spreads business, which has a turnover of more than EUR 450 million and employs more than 800 people in the production plants in in Germany, Poland and Finland. Now, we can expand our presence in Central Eastern Europe and Scandinavia too.”
“We aspire to be a frontrunner in the plant-based food transition!”, says Jean Vandemoortele, Chairman of the Board. “Not only in the core categories of Margarine and Plant-Based Oils & Fats, but also in the growth categories of Sauces, Vinaigrettes & Dressings, Vegetable Creams and Plant-Based Cheese.”
