Vicky Foods acquired the Portuguese bakery brand Panrico and its 50,000 sqm production plant in Gulpihares, from Adam Foods. Details of the transaction were not made public. The Valencian food group shared a statement that the move helps it grow in the bread category and expand internationally, while also “strengthening its industrial structure in the Iberian Peninsula.”

Panrico generated EUR 23.8 million in revenue in Spain and Portugal in 2025, elEconomista.es reports. At its facility, Panrico operates three production lines for sliced bread manufacturing, with a combined capacity of 21,000 tons of bread per year.

Vicky Foods runs four factories: two in Spain, one in France, and one in Algeria. In addition, it also operated an egg factory in Terrateig, a plastic film packaging factory in La Pobla del Duc and a factory that produces and packages dried fruits and nuts in Las Palmas. The company exports about 2,500 products to more than 40 countries. Its turnover was EUR 707 million in 2024, with a team of more than 4,000 people.
