Lesaffre acquires dsm-firmenich yeast extract business

Lesaffre will acquire dsm firmenich’s yeast extract go-to-market organization and know-how. Going forward, dsm-firmenich’s yeast extract products will be produced in Lesaffre’s global manufacturing network. The transaction should be completed by the end of the year. Closing remains subject to the customary regulatory approvals and works council consultations at dsm-firmenich.

With the acquisition of talent and know-how and a technology partnership with dsm-firmenich, Lesaffre aims to strengthen its foothold in the savory ingredients market. Biospringer by Lesaffre will be able to provide a wider range of products and solutions to improve taste, texture, and other desired properties in their various food applications.

Swiss-Dutch company dsm-firmenich is listed on the Euronext Amsterdam.
