CAOBISCO, the Association of the Chocolate, Biscuits & Confectionery Industries of Europe, appointed Olga Martínez as its Vice-President, following its General Assembly that took place on November 19. Martínez currently serves as Director of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability for Grupo BIMBO EMEA and President of Produlce, the Spanish confectionery association.
With her appointment, Olga Martínez will join the CAOBISCO leadership, working alongside Tobias Bachmüller, President of CAOBISCO (Katjes) and Aldo Cristiano, Vice-President of CAOBISCO (Ferrero). This leadership trio will guide the organization at a pivotal moment for the European confectionery and chocolate industry, the organization anticipates.
“Olga Martínez’s appointment is a source of great pride for the entire sector. Her leadership has strengthened Produlce and has elevated the visibility of Spanish confectionery across Europe. We are confident that her contributions within CAOBISCO will reinforce our presence and exemplify commitment, professionalism and forward-thinking leadership,” said Rubén Moreno, Secretary General of Produlce.
Olga Martínez also stated: “It is an honor to take on the vice-presidency of CAOBISCO. Representing the Spanish confectionery industry at the European level is a responsibility I assume with enthusiasm and strong commitment. The sector is at a decisive moment, and coordinated European action will be essential to enhance its competitiveness and its future.”
