FRITSCH will highlight pastry production at this year’s IBIE stand, with a new dedicated line: PROGRESSA pastry. The company shares what to expect at the exhibition, in an interview.
f2m: What are you preparing to highlight at IBIE?
FRITSCH At IBIE, we are proud to highlight our new PROGRESSA pastry line, specially developed for retail bakers seeking greater hygiene, easy handling, and high performance. The line features a hygienic design throughout — including smooth surfaces, watertight covers on threaded connections, and rounded corners that prevent dirt buildup.
Maintenance and cleaning are simplified with a linear quick-release mechanism on the belt system — such as on the infeed table of the satellite head — which allows for fast, tool-free access even in tight spaces. The ‘omega drive’ enables the belt to fully relax within seconds, making it quick and easy to clean underneath. Altogether, the PROGRESSA pastry delivers dependable performance with a focus on hygienic design, flexibility, and ease of operation.
f2m: What is one takeaway that visitors should keep in mind about your stand this year?
FRITSCH: Visitors to our stand should walk away with one clear impression: FRITSCH and the MULTIVAC Group are your full-line solution partners — from dough to distribution.
We’re creating an inviting space where customers can see, taste, and discuss what’s possible. Expect to experience freshly baked pastries, warm pretzels, and cold beer, along with live Q&A sessions with our Master Baker each afternoon, at 4 p.m.
But it’s more than just a warm welcome — our stand reflects how we support bakeries through innovative equipment, expert support, and integration with the broader MULTIVAC portfolio. Whether you’re looking to automate lamination, scale production, or improve hygiene, our team will demonstrate how our modular solutions grow with your needs — and how we back it all with global service and local expertise.
f2m: How would you compare the North American and APAC markets with Europe, from your work? What types of solutions are you requested the most in these geographies, from your portfolio?
FRITSCH: With strong MULTIVAC subsidiaries in the US and Canada, we stay closely connected to our customers and gain valuable feedback directly from the field. We see tremendous demand in North America for industrial lines producing bread, laminated pastries and croissants, and pizza bases.
There’s also growing interest in specialty equipment like our MULTITWIST for shaped, twisted, and knotted dough products, and our MULTIFLEX L, which is ideal for bakeries needing compact, flexible production solutions.
While the base machinery is often similar across regions, it’s the custom tooling, accessories, and product handling that reflect local preferences. Our ability to tailor configurations to match local trends gives us a strong advantage.
f2m: What are you launching at IBIE?
FRITSCH: Our spotlight at IBIE is the new PROGRESSA pastry line, designed with hygienic engineering, operator ease, and modular scalability in mind. It’s an exciting addition to our lineup for mid-sized retail and industrial bakeries.
We’ll also be showcasing the capabilities of our IMPRESSA series for high-output bread, croissant, and flatbread production, as well as the MULTITWIST for specialty shaped doughs. These solutions reflect our ongoing commitment to innovation and performance in every corner of the bakery.
