ARYZTA breaks ground for a new large-scale stone oven in Eisleben, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. The state-of-the-art facility will meet high sustainability standards and will manufacture premium goods with a handcrafted feel, for the growing German bake-off market. The new stone oven line, weighing 100 tons, is designed with energy efficiency in mind. The new artisanal bread line will be fully operational in H2 2025.

It is the second major investment in Eisleben, following the opening of the ARYZTA Innovation Center in October. This is ARYZTA’s largest production site in Europe and one of the largest bake-off facilities in Europe.

In October, ARYZTA commissioned a new product innovation center for product development and innovation. It features R&D facilities, quality monitoring areas, and pilot machines for all ARYZTA bread and baked goods segments.

ARYZTA AG Chair and Interim CEO, Urs Jordi, commented: “The new facility in Eisleben and the ARYZTA Innovation Centre are important elements of our growth strategy. They will not only enable us to meet the growing demand in the German market, but will also give the entire Group new inspiration for the development of new, high-quality and differentiated products.”
