New Managing Director at Harry-Brot

Arndt Rüsges will begin his tenure as the new Managing Director for Production and Technology at Harry-Brot on October 1, 2025. He succeeds the company’s long-standing Managing Director, Norbert Lötz, who will retire at the beginning of 2026.

Rüsges has over 40 years of professional experience in the food industry. With management positions at Mars Germany, Intersnack, and Haribo GmbH & Co. KG.

In his position as Managing Director of Production and Technology, he is responsible for quality, sustainability, and efficiency at Harry-Brot.

Harry-Brot GmbH is based in Schenefeld near Hamburg and focuses its strategy on southern Germany. The company expanded its existing site in Troisdorf near Cologne in 2024. In 2025, Harry-Brot will take over the production site of the Glockenbrot bakery in Bergkirchen near Munich. Germany’s biggest bakery also plans to build a new large-scale facility in Erlensee near Hanau, probably by 2028.

Harry-Brot’s product range includes both pre-baked and self-service packaged specialties. The pre-baked range for baking stations includes pre-baked loaves, frozen rolls, and frozen baguettes. Fresh sliced bread, toast, sandwich bread, sweet treats and snacks, premium burger buns, and rolls and baguettes for baking are available packaged in the self-service section.

Harry’s fresh delivery service, the industrial baker’s unique selling point, delivers these baked goods fresh daily from the nearest Harry industrial bakery to food retailers. In line with the company’s claim ‘Fresh like Harry’, the products reach the store shelves within a few hours. Founded in 1688, the family-run company is Germany’s largest delivery bakery.
