Lidl Ireland signed a EUR 22 million contract with Panelto Foods bakery, which will stock the supermarket with premium baked breads across the island of Ireland, in Great Britain and Northern Ireland. In addition, a potential collaboration between the bakery and the Lidl International buying team is being explored, Ireland’s Forecourt and Convenience Retailer reports.

Panelto Foods opened its first bakery in Longford in 2005. The company signed its first contract with Lidl Ireland in 2011 and began supplying panini breads. It also produces a range of Lidl’s rolls and sandwich breads.
