Sourdough and viennoiserie bakery Pollen, based in Manchester, announced the opening of a new bakery café in the Kampus neighborhood, on June 9.
In the new store, Pollen occupies a 2,600 sqf unit on the ground floor. Local interior design studio No Chintz designed the new location, which incorporates a pastry kitchen behind a glass gallery for visitors to watch, tasteofmanchester.com reports. A café space is also included, with indoor and outdoor seating areas overlooking the Kampus garden, the local news outlet adds.
Ahead of the opening, Pollen is looking to expand its team to work at the new shop. It posted an announcement seeking a chef that would work alongside the Dead Chef to create seasonal and modern dishes. “Being a solid part of the kitchen team, you’ll have a passion for produce and using the best of the seasons. If summer tomatoes or spring peas get you excited, this might just be for you,” the job posting reads. A kitchen porter is also wanted, a role deemed “the most essential in the entire kitchen”. To apply, the bakery can be reached at [email protected].
