The President of the German Bakers’ Association, Roland Ermer, is now also the new President of the European Bakers’ and Confectioners’ Association (CEBP). Ermer was unanimously elected to the position by the CEBP General Assembly during the iba trade fair in Düsseldorf, on May 19.

He succeeds Dominique Anract, President of the French Bakers’ Association. Roland Ermer comments on his new role: “My goal is to represent our interests in Europe more strongly and more intensively.”

The CEBP – Confédération Européenne des Organisations Nationales de la Boulangerie et de la Pâtisserie – represents around 190,000 small and medium-sized businesses with around 2 million employees across Europe.
