The Association of German Plant Bakeries announced that Tobias Schuhmacher will become a member of the management board from April 1, 2024. He will take over the general management on July 1, 2024, succeeding Armin Juncker – the association’s CEO since 2011.

Since 2012, Schuhmacher has been the General Manager of the Grain Research Working Group and Managing Director of the Association of the Baking Industry.

“We are very happy that we were able to win Tobias Schuhmacher over for the Association of German Plant Bakeries as Managing Director,” said President Ulrike Detmers.

“I’m looking forward to the new task,” Schuhmacher also shared a comment. “I have been familiar with the industry for many years, as have many of the people involved, which makes it easier to get started.” Schuhmacher has been active in association organizations for more than 20 years, both as a full-time employee and as a volunteer. He has been working in the food industry with a focus on bread and baked goods since 2012.
