Japanese sweets manufacturer, Tokyo Banana, introduced its popular melonpan among the offerings at its Tokyo Station store, for a limited duration starting March 1. The company is known for its range of treats, which make popular souvenirs, including its Tokyo Banana – a banana-shaped sponge cake shaped, filled with banana-flavored custard cream.

Made with cocoa-flavored Danish dough, the Tokyo Banana Melonpan returns after 20 years, Japan Wireless reports. Since its comeback, it often sells out. The melon breads are individually wrapped and sold in sets of three for JPY 1,188 (EUR 7.3), in a box with handles. They are only sold twice per day, at noon and 4 pm, the outlet adds. The product was previously only available at Expansa Ebina in Kanagawa prefecture.

Melon pan is a sweet bread, soft on the inside, with a cookie-like crust on the outside.
