Domino’s Pizza announced results for the first quarter of 2023. Its global retail sales grew 5.9%, excluding the negative impact of foreign currency. Without adjusting for the impact of foreign currency, global retail sales grew 2.2% in the first quarter of 2023. The company opened 128 new stores in Q1, of which 22 were in the U.S. and 106 international store openings. Meanwhile, 40 closures were recorded during the first quarter of 2023.

“As I reflect on the first quarter, I can’t help but be encouraged by the resilience of our business model and the competitive advantage our franchisees and team members bring to Domino’s Pizza,” said Russell Weiner, Domino’s Chief Executive Officer.

Revenues increased by USD 13.2 million, or 1.3%, in the first quarter of 2023 as compared to the first quarter of 2022, primarily due to higher supply chain revenues.
