U.S. and Canadian associations partner on education, training

The American Bakers Association (ABA) and the Baking Association of Canada (BAC) partnered to support their members’ staff develop their technical skills. ABA will also offer BAC members access to its Bakers Manufacturing Academy training programs, which provide a variety of online courses for all knowledge and experience levels. The online learning portal offers students dynamic, interactive instruction, and offers training managers simple student registration, documentation, and progress.

“Both ABA and BAC are focused on addressing the skills gap in their respective workforces. This partnership will allow BAC members access to the Bakers Manufacturing Academy multi-dimensional training course offerings,” said ABA President and CEO Robb MacKie. “We are very excited to work closely with the BAC on this vital issue that transcends our border.”

“Expanding educational and professional upgrading opportunities for our members is one of the association’s strategic mandates,” also said Martin Barnett, Executive Director of the BAC, in a statement.
