IBIE ’25: Koenig dough sheeting line makes US debut

Koenig will present the Artisan SFE EC dough sheeting line for the first time in the US, at IBIE. ‘E’ stands for efficient production through endless dough sheeting with no edge trim, meaning zero dough waste, the company explains. ‘EC’ is the company’s known easy clean design. The line is designed for resource-saving operations and sustainability, Koenig highlights. The company will also display the Fortuna semi-automatic dough rounder/divider.

Moreover, Koenig will showcase the dough dividers and rounders Mini Rex Multi and Rex Futura Multi, as well as the spiral mixer SP 160.

In addition to the equipment highlights, visitors can learn about baker success stories at the stand, and expert insights.

Q&A

f2m: How would you compare the North American and APAC markets with Europe, from your work? What types of solutions are you requested the most on these geographies, from your portfolio?

Koenig: There are big structural differences between the North American and Latin American markets, resulting in both high demand for stand-alone machines such as dough dividers and rounders, but also for complete lines for high-volume production. This makes these markets particularly interesting for us because of the high diversity.

And a global trend with particularly high growth in the North American market: a focus on health, which means products such as low-carb or gluten-free breads. This is why we test our equipment thoroughly with new recipes and new ingredients to make it well-functioning for new trends.

f2m: What is one takeaway that visitors should keep in mind about your stand this year?

Koenig: We focus on bringing people together: It is not only about the equipment, but also about the experts from different areas, such as service, design, sales, or project management. Visitors can ask questions directly and inquire about options for their reliable production.

f2m: Please highlight new launches.

Koenig: The Artisan SFE EC will be showcased for the very first time in the US. We are making further efforts in our R&D department for the US market, which will be announced at IBIE!
