At this premiere, we’re not just showcasing the latest equipment – we’re demonstrating the potential of the Pilot Bakery to transform the R&D experience of our bakery customers. Whether its shortening development cycles, reducing operational disruption, enabling hands-on training, or launching new products inspired by the latest consumer trends, this is a behind-the-scenes look at how AMF and Puratos are helping bakeries bake what’s next.
f2m: How would you compare the North American and APAC markets with Europe, from your work? What types of solutions are you requested the most on these geographies, from your portfolio?
North American bakery customers are driven by consumer demand for convenience, on-the-go and QSR-type products. For these customers, we see a lot of high-volume, industrial-scale producers looking to reduce labor, improve operator safety and increase line efficiency. AMF focused on modularity for future portfolio growth and seamlessly integrated automation solutions from upstream to downstream processes to help these customers meet efficiency needs. Customers highlight the need for predictive maintenance and remote monitoring, which is where AMF’s Bakery Intelligence portfolio fits.
Working alongside our customers at the Pilot Bakery to really understand consumer trends, we’re helping our customers develop new recipes and products that fit into, for instance, the clean label, better-for-you category with the ability to then ensure scalability of those health-conscious products on our automated AMF Flex and AMF Tromp make-up technologies.
Within the European market, we see a higher demand for energy-efficient solutions, which is where our baking experts from AMF BakeTech and AMF Den Boer are collaborating to ensure we’re able to reduce CO2 emissions during the baking cycle.
Throughout emerging consumer markets like APAC and LATAM, we see food producers that are more affordability-focused looking to introduce automation into their processes rather than wanting the highest speed, premium automation solution. In these markets, we’re able to offer affordable, high-performance solutions through our APEX Series of product models that span our family of brands, helping bakers scale operations efficiently with simplified designs without compromising on reliability, sanitation, or operator safety.
