Middleby Bakery appoints two new sales managers

Two sales managers joined the ranks of Middleby Bakery, the company announced: Chris Janarek is a new Account Sales Manager for Auto-Bake Serpentine, covering the US market, and Vikrant Sawant took over the role of Area Sales Manager for India.

Janarek will support existing and new Auto-Bake customers throughout the US with high-volume bakery lines. He previously worked with Auto-Bake Americas from 2010 to 2014, then relocated from Chicago to Plano in 2015, as the company relocated its entire global operation from Australia to Plano. From 2017 until rejoining Auto-Bake, Janarek worked as a capital equipment technical sales expert for Zeppelin Systems and WAM Inc. “Chris is a great fit for this position,” said Scott McCally, President of Auto-Bake Serpentine.

Sawant will oversee business development and sales efforts for Middleby Bakery, focusing on biscuits, cookies, crackers, and sweet goods brands. He has over 17 years of experience in sales and marketing. Prior to joining Middleby, he served as Zonal Sales Manager at Bühler (India) Pvt. Ltd., where he was responsible for the HAAS portfolio across the Indian subcontinent. He worked with clients in bakery and confectionery products, ranging from biscuits, cookies, and wafers to chocolate processing and alternative protein lines. “Vikrant’s extensive industry knowledge and his strong business development skills make him the ideal candidate for this role,” said Scott McCally.
