Nerida Kelton’s second term as World Packaging Organization (WPO) Vice President of Sustainability & Save Food was confirmed at the beginning of 2024. “We have so many resources available now and there are so many more to come!” she commented on the organization’s work and upcoming projects.
The Global Packaging Design for Recycling Guide, for example, is one of the resources available on WPO’s website. It has been translated into 12 languages. WPO’s position paper on sustainability, released yearly, reflects the stand of all its 64 member countries, Kelton detailed in an announcement. Best practices for sustainability are among the newest reports published.
WPO also recently announced its Gobal Ambassadors for 2024-2026:
- Ahmed Alex Omah (Nigeria) – Advanced Institute of Packaging Professionals of Nigeria and African Packaging Organisation (APO)
- Chakravarthi AVPS (India) – Pharma entrepreneur and part of the Indian Institute of Packaging
- Iva Werbynská (Czech Republic) – Czech-Slovak Packaging Institute (SYBA)
- Silvio Colombo (Argentina) – Argentinean Packaging Institute (IAE)
- Tuti Buntaran (Indonesia) – First Packaging Asia
