Aksìa Group announced it acquired the majority of Menchetti Food, a third-generation family business with over 400 employees, producing over 200,000 pizza bases per month. Menchetti joins the group’s Valpizza, La Pizza +1, Megic Pizza, Ghiottelli, Forno Ludovico and Tuscanya bakery brands. Menchetti Food is the branch specializing in Panificio Menchetti’s frozen product range, which in 2022 recorded a turnover of over EUR 11 million, Alimentado reports.

The acquisition was carried out through the group’s subsidiary, the Valsa Group, which expands its presence in frozen food with this move and adds bases for pizza, focaccia and frozen pinsa to its portfolio.

“We are very happy to be able to welcome Menchetti Food and the Menchetti family into our Group,” Alimentado quotes Marco Setti, Valsa Group CEO. “Their entry into the Group is strategic for us. On the one hand, expanding our product range allows us to strengthen our distinctive positioning in terms of offers. On the other hand, it allows us to consolidate our presence in the sector of high-quality frozen products, a strategic asset on which we will focus more and more.”
