Vandemoortele acquired Lizzi srl., an Italian specialty producer and distributor of frozen bakery products, from Forno d’Asolo SpA. The transaction is anticipated to be closed in the coming weeks. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Together, they are creating European Bakery Group, a pan-European bakery platform, according to an announcement made by investor 3i Group plc.
Aksìa Group announced it acquired the majority of Menchetti Food, a third-generation family business with over 400 employees, producing over 200,000 pizza bases per month. Menchetti joins the group’s Valpizza, La Pizza +1, Megic Pizza, Ghiottelli, Forno Ludovico and Tuscanya bakery brands.
