Dawn Foods launches Yogurt Cake Mix and Yuzu Compound

Dawn Foods announced the launch of a new cake mix, the Dawn Yogurt Cake Mix, and a new flavoring paste, Dawn Exceptional® Yuzu Compound, as part of their Total Cake Solutions.

This concept was developed for bakers across all channels, featuring new recipe inspiration from across Europe, trends and insights on cake consumption, as well as expert advice on maximizing cake sales.

The new Dawn Yogurt Cake Mix delivers cakes with a tender and fluffy texture, barely sweet and with a hint of yogurt flavor, the company details: “Like most of the mixes in the range, it is versatile, holding inclusions well and can be used to make a variety of bakes and shapes, from loaf cakes to muffins, and from Bundt cakes to traybakes. The subtle yogurt flavour can easily be paired with other flavors, such as lemon or raspberry.“

The new Dawn Exceptional® Compound Yuzu flavoring paste also adds to the Cotal Cake Solutions concept. The taste of the Asian yuzu can be described as a blend of a lemon and a grapefruit, but it is more complex with distinct herbal and floral notes along with its acidity, Dawn explains.
