Austrian baking ingredients manufacturer backaldrin started building a new logistics center in Asten, at its headquarters. The new facility covers a total area of over 9,000 sqm and will reach 16 m in height.
Pizza will close 68 restaurants and 11 delivery sites in the UK, after DC London Pie Limited, which operates Pizza Hut’s UK restaurants, went into administration. However, the chain’s owner, Yum! Brands agreed to buy back and save 64 of these restaurants and the affiliated jobs, in a pre-pack administration deal.
GEA Group announced an early decision to extend CEO Stefan Klebert’s contract until the end of 2028. The executive board will also be restructured from the beginning of 2026: it will be expanded from three to six members, the Global Executive Committee and the COO role will be dissolved.
