FRITSCH Bakery Technologies recorded a sales growth of 40% in 2021. The company’s access to the sales and service network of its parent group, MULTIVAC, contributed to the results.
Bread Alone Bakery reopened its Boiceville, New York Bakery & Café. The original bakery first opened in 1983 was renovated into an 8,000 sq ft net-zero energy facility, to supply Bread Alone’s four Hudson Valley cafes, as well as its New York City farmer’s markets.

Two Magpies Bakery Group opened its seventh bakery café in Suffolk, the UK, at the end of January. The new business in Woodbridge offers baked goods to take away or enjoy in the 50-seat café, which serves a full menu seven days a week, 8am-5pm.
Greggs opened its largest bakery-café in Primark’s flagship store in Birmingham on February 12. The 130-seat café features a self-serve coffee cart, Sugar Strand Doughnut seating booths, flying Sausage Rolls and an Instagram area.
