Jones Village Bakery, a Welsh family business established in 1934, is looking to add 40 more people to its team of approximately 800. The company offers perks that include employee shopping discounts at supermarkets such as Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Asda. Also in the employee package are discount deals for the holidays, gym memberships, restaurant dining, movie theater tickets and “a host of everyday items”, according to the Leader. All employees also have a 30% discount on Jones Village Bakery’s products.
From December 4, the bakery says it will be paying all operational workers at least the Real Living Wage of GBP 10.90 per hour. This adds up to a starting salary of GBP 22,317 (daytime), up to GBP 31,675 for the highest-skilled workers on night shifts, the local news outlet reports.
