AB Mauri UK and Ireland announced the acquisition of Romix Foods, a specialist in bakery mixes. Romix offers mixes for sweet treats: muffins, brownies, cookies, biscuits, scones, silk cakes, and sponges, as well as savory products such as bread, pastries, pizza, and dumplings. Romix Foods was founded in 2013 by Dan Ross, Mick McGowan and Paul Weston and is headquartered in Lancashire, UK.

With the new acquisition, AB Mauri expands its portfolio. “As we welcome Romix Foods, we look forward to the innovation and growth this partnership will bring,” AB Mauri UK and Ireland shared in a LinkedIn post.

“This acquisition ensures that we can continue to meet the demands of increasing variety and complexity from the markets we serve,” said David Cooper, UK&I MD of AB Mauri.

Mick McGowan, Managing Director, Romix Foods, also commented on the news: “It represents a significant milestone for Romix and promises to bring numerous benefits to our staff and customers alike.”
