CAOBISCO invites industry professionals to join its debut Congress, which will take place at the Thon Hotel EU in Brussels, on November 19, with the theme, ‘Driving a more sustainable and competitive confectionery industry: how EU policies support this ambition’.
The first annual event will look ahead into Europe’s business environment, as the European legislative term begins. Dedicated panels consisting of SME leaders abd Members of the European Parliament and the European Commission will be hosted.
The Regulatory and Scientific Affairs Panele will be divided into two sections: the first will explore the role of CAOBISCO products as a contributor to a healthy and balanced diet, and the second will focus on the ongoing challenges and progress regarding precautionary allergen labeling. Panelists in the second section will include a diverse mix of representatives from industry, government bodies, and consumer associations.
The Sustainability Panel will address challenges including supply chain vulnerabilities, regulatory pressures, and social concerns, as well as opportunities for boosting resilience and innovation.
A panel dedicated to economic affairs is also part of the agenda, analyzing EU trade policies that support the confectionery industry.
“Discover the essence of our organization as we celebrate with a diverse selection of chocolate, confectionery and biscuits products from across Europe. Engage in insightful panel discussions on sustainability, trade, health and nutrition, and labeling,” CAOBISCO wrote.
