Armin Juncker, the long-time managing director of the Association of German Plant Bakeries, was awarded the Eberhard Paech Prize in Berlin. The prize is awarded every three years for outstanding achievements in technology development, and contributions to the reputation and presentation of bread. Juncker received the prize together with the former President of the German Bakers‘ Confederation, Michael Wippler.
Juncker worked for the association as a ‘bread ambassador’ for over 30 years, including 13 years as its managing director, highlighted the President of the Association of German Plant Bakeries, Prof. Dr. Ulrike Detmers in her congratulatory speech. She also recalled Juncker’s contribution to the development and organization of a collective wage system for bakeries in the new federal states.
