The 38th AIBI Congress, organized by the International Association of Plant Bakers at the Grand Elysee Hotel in Hamburg, opens for the industry’s most important conversations, on May 22. The three-day event dedicates ample spotlight space to sustainability. Perspectives on energy management will be analyzed, with topics focusing on EU Sustainability Agreements, the wheat carbon footprint, and navigating a greener future. Workforce and digitalization issues will also be disseminated, with highlights including AI and automation. Panel discussions will be held, for diverse perspectives into these topics.

AIBI also organized a market tour, a guided visit for a hands-on experience of Hamburg’s innovative bakery scene. At the event, the new AIBI president will be introduced, and the time and place for the next edition of the Congress, respectively, as Georg Heberer completes his two-year tenure.
