Baker & Baker introduced a double-filled salted caramel and nut doughnut in the UK. The doughnut, which is proving popular in Europe, is set to be introduced during April and combines a premium doughnut with a very popular flavor in the UK.
The product has a three-day shelf life and is available to foodservice and bakery wholesalers through the usual channels.
The new treat is double-filled with a nut-nougat and salted caramel cream, and is decorated with a salted caramel flavored glaze, milk chocolate drizzle and a sprinkle of crunchy hazelnut pieces. The premium doughnut also contains no artificial colors, flavors, preservatives, or eggs and is suitable for vegetarians.
The thaw-and-serve salted caramel and nut doughnuts are a permanent addition to Baker & Baker’s portfolio of sweet treats and are in line with the company’s commitment to introduce a series of limited-edition and permanent products throughout 2025. Last month, the bakery manufacturer introduced the Victoria Muffin, a take on the Victoria Sponge.
“We’ve introduced this product to capitalize on a very popular flavor in the UK”, comments Helen Sinclair, UK marketing manager at Baker & Baker. “Coupled with a premium doughnut, we’re confident it will prove popular with end-users and support our customers as they look to remain competitive during these challenging times.”
