Guido Spix leaves MULTIVAC

MULTIVAC announced changes in its management, as Guido Spix will step down from his joint Group President role at the end of the year and Christian Traumann will step in as the company’s CEO and spokesperson for the management starting January 1, 2023. In addition, three new Directors on the Management Team were announced: Bernd Höpner (CTO), Dr. Christian Lau (COO) and Dr. Tobias Richter (CSO).

Spix is departing MULTIVAC at after 14 years with the company, for family reasons. Since January 2020 Guido Spix has shared leadership of the MULTIVAC Group with Christian Traumann as joint Group Presidents. He has been responsible for production and innovation strategy throughout the Group. He led MULTIVAC’s transformation from a machine manufacturer to a supplier of complete solutions, while also expanding its network of international production sites. Today, MULTIVAC has 13 production sites worldwide. Spix will remain associated with the company and will continue to offer his support.

We wish him all the very best for the future.”

After two years of joint leadership, Christian Traumann will remain the sole leader of the company as of January 1. He has worked here since 2002, and he has been a member of the Management Team since 2008. “I am delighted that we have been able to fill the new management positions from our own ranks. This enables us to secure the continuity with our customers and business partners as the basis for further successful development of our business,” said Christian Traumann.
