Hadfields seeks lifeline to save business

Hadsfield Bakery, a business in Huddersfield, with 13 locations and 74 employees filed a notice to appoint administrators. The owners are working on a plan to save the business and the shops, and is in talks with banks and lawyers for a possible solution, Yorkshire Live reports. Just last year, the bakery moved to new headquarters, with offices and a bakery – an investment of about GBP 600,000.

Sales decreased by about 20% over the past two years, and surging energy costs added more pressure on the business.
