Wrexham-based Jones’ Village Bakery is hiring 20 people to expand its production capabilities, following record sales of GBP 100 million and a growing interest from customers from Australia, several Asian countries and the US, the Free Press reports.

Pay rates at the bakery start at GBP 11.43 an hour and can increase up to GBP 15.47 an hour. The bakery employs 800 people and has a turnover of GBP 80 million.

The new announcement follows 30 job openings posted in May, due to soaring demand of its bread products. “Over the past year sales of the Jones Village Bakery’s own brand bread have increased by 20%– with its signature Welsh Batch loaf proving particularly popular,” the company commented.
