Little Caesars is set to open its first UK restaurant in more than two decades, in Derby, before the end of December 2022. The Derby branch will be followed by two stores in London and one in Liverpool early next year, the news outlet reports.
“The category is growing. Even during COVID, pizza had tremendous growth. Beyond that, we’ve been adding members to our international team,” 1851franchise.com quotes Carlos Vidal, vice president of international development, Little Caesars. “The support is there. You have a team of people to support you, and we’re not talking about people who are shared between domestic and international development—the team is exclusively focused on international.”
The pizza chain anticipates several stores to be opened in the UK over the next few years. Little Caesars is the third-largest pizza chain by total sales in the United States, behind Pizza Hut and Domino’s Pizza, 2020 statistics show.
