Shorter absence still makes the heart grow quite fond: after meeting at iba in Munich in October 2023, baking professionals joined the new edition in May 2025 in Dusseldorf, ready to talk business. As always, entertainment was also ensured, brought by dynamic competitions and events.
The day after the show wraps up, IBIE organization springs into action and starts working on show planning for the upcoming edition in three years time. The result: a comprehensive collection of resources, every time, with anything from new innovations, to a complete education program, competitions and events.
From May 18 to May 22, 985 exhibitors from 46 countries showcased their solutions at iba, which this year took place in Dusseldorf. Organizers recorded 49,115 visitors from 149 countries in attendance
Barcelona is preparing to host the BIET Meeting, the Congress on Innovation in Ingredients, Enzymes, and Technology for Bakery, which will take place on June 11 and 12, 2025.
The first Food Matters Live for Continental Europe event will take place September 23–24, 2025 at the Rotterdam Ahoy Convention Centre, supporting innovation in food ingredients, functional nutrition, sustainability and cross-industry collaboration.
The winners of The iba UIBC Cup of Bakers are Corentin Molina and Yannis Thouys from France. The duo was awarded gold by Dominique Anract, UIBC President, and Roland Ermer, President of the German Bakers‘ Confederation.
On May 18 and 19, 2025, the best bakers from six countries will compete for gold at the iba UIBC Cup of Bakers, an event organized by the German Baker’s Confederation (Zentralverband des Deutschen Bäckerhandwerks), the owner of iba. This year’s theme is ‘Art’.
